If you wish to make a difference in places where free media is under threat or does not exist, RFE/RL offers eligible students the opportunity to engage with professionals and learn more about our mission. In doing so, you would acquire direct, practical experience with the support of a mentor. Internships are competitive and unpaid. We offer skills development and an opportunity to contribute to an exciting media project.

Current Time is a young and driven team that produces news and original content across various digital platforms to complement the coverage of Current Time, Radio Liberty's Russian-language TV network. We provide engaging and accurate reporting and storytelling across platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and more.

We are looking for someone to join our video production team who is proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, can navigate Adobe After Effects, has experience in video editing, and is eager to further develop these skills.

Internship Details:

  • Duration: Ideally 3 months, with the possibility of an extension up to 6 months.
  • Hours: Flexible, with a minimum commitment of 16 hours per week required.
  • Location: Prague, with potential for remote work, subject to team agreement.

You will learn:

  • About the work of the Current Time Digital team.
  • To create video content specifically for social media, including idea generation, script structuring, research, filming, and editing.
  • Best practices for producing effective and impactful social media videos.

Minimum requirements are:

  • Current university student or a recent graduate.
  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro. Knowledge of Adobe After Effects is a plus. Please provide links to any work samples.
  • Experience with motion design and animation is a plus.
  • Fluency in Russian is not required. Communication can be conducted in either English or Czech.
  • Interest in international affairs and familiarity with RFE/RL’s mission and regions of coverage.
